Jordan strikes Syria after church attack, killing at least seven people
Syria closes border crossings with Jordan after air strikes kill seven people in Deraa and Suweyda, including children.

Jordan has carried out air strikes in Syria in “retaliation” for last week’s deadly church attack, with Syrian authorities saying the raids killed at least seven people, including three children and a woman.
Jordan’s Armed Forces said in a statement that it targeted “hideouts” of armed groups in southeastern Syria in response to the gun attack at a church in its Karak governorate on Friday. At least nine people were killed and dozens more wounded in the shootings.
The Jordanian military said the strikes on Syria were launched “in coordination with the Syrian government”.
A fourth struck a residential building in the town of Shahba in Suweyda province, killing a 60-year-old man.
